Radiance Sophia (Corey) Carter, age 33, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died on Sunday, February 22, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones. Radiance was born on June 14, 1992, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Kevin Corey and Chelsea (Powell) Phillips.

Radiance was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she was raised and formed lifelong bonds with family and friends. From an early age, she embodied the meaning of her name, bringing warmth, compassion, and brightness into every room she entered. Her spirit reflected strength, resilience, and a deep love for those closest to her.
Radiance graduated from R. Nelson Snider High School and went on to serve her community as a Certified Nurse Assistant. In her profession, Radiance exemplified care, patience, and dedication, providing comfort and dignity to those entrusted to her care.
Radiance was baptized on October 14, 2001, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. James Fincher. Her faith remained an anchor throughout her life, guiding her with grace and quiet strength.

Radiance lived with intention and authenticity. She valued connection, cherished family traditions, and carried herself with determination and grace. Funny, compassionate, encouraging, and truly radiant, she had a unique ability to make others feel seen, heard, and loved.
She enjoyed dancing, attending family gatherings, traveling, cheering on her brothers at football and wrestling tournaments, spending time with her children, and savoring a cold Pepsi. Radiance was a fighter who did not back down, ask her brothers and cousins. Her courage and loyalty defined her character.

Radiance is lovingly survived by her daughter, Taliyah Carter; her sons, Tyrell Carter, Travis Oldham, Jr. and her father, Kevin (Nicole) Corey; her brothers, Bennie (Amany) Hatch, Patrick Green, KC (Julia) Corey, Dietrich Crowder, Jr., and Graylan (Adriana) Early; her sister-in-law, Erica Hatch; Godmother Tesra Starks and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Chelsea Phillips, brothers; Kevin Corey, Jr. and Daimone Hatch, grandmothers; Adell (Corey) Brandon, Maxine Hendrix, and Pamela Hatch, grandfathers; Tollie Davis, Charles Williams, and Willie Hatch, great-grandmother, Savannah (Hendrix) Powell. and her aunt, Lassette Helire.
Radiance will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
